1. Ahi Assassins
Phil starts off his trip at a poke spot located on top of a strip mall. He had never been a fan of poke before, but finds out that poke in Hawaii is very different. Made with freshly caught fish that morning and mixed with amazing flavors, Phil finds himself slowly becoming a fan of the dish.

2. Hank's Haute Dogs
After his lessons in rowing, Phil visits a hot dog shop which specializes in innovative and new flavors. The hot dogs are both filling and delicious.

3. Uncle Clay's House of Pure Aloha
Originating in Taiwan, shave ice was brought to the Hawaiian islands in the late 1800s by Japanese immigrants working on the sugar plantations. In Hawaii, it is called "shave ice" rather than "shaved ice" as it is elsewhere. Phil tries out a number of different flavors to cool down from the sun.

4. Volcom House
On the North Shore of O'ahu right along the Pipeline, the Volcom House is a legendary place where surfers come to hang out and relax after riding the waves. Phil visits this house and enjoys a buffet of Hawaiian delights.

5. Pig & the Lady
Phil visits this Vietnamese restaurant in downtown Honolulu, where the food is as good as what he had in Saigon.

6. Senia
Hawaii not only has great local casual food, but it is also home to high end fine dining. Phil visits Senia, where he enjoyed a tasting menu of elevated cuisine.

7. Mud Hen Water
A local spot that specializes in Hawaiian cuisine, but elevates it by adding its own creative and modern touches.

Activities
1. Waikiki
Phil goes to the picture perfect beaches of Waikiki, where he decides to take up rowing with some locals.
2. Haka'ako
Phil bikes through the arts district of Haka'ako. It is home to a growing collection of murals, as well as shops, galleries, and restaurants where there used to be warehouses
3. North Shore
Phil takes a daytrip to the O'ahu's North Shore, which has the famous Pipeline wave for surfers.
4. Hale'iwa Elementary School
Phil goes to a local elementary school that is a part of the AINA in School program. This program teaches kids everything from nutrition to composting to gardening. Phil enjoys some ice cream with the kids.
